Donna Booth Instructional Guide
I became interested in Montessori after volunteering in a Montessori elementary classroom while pursuing my degree in Sociology at Western University in London, Canada. I then went on to take my AMI Elementary 6-12 training in Bergamo, Italy. There were many things I fell in love with about Montessori, one being its universality.
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work in three different schools in Canada and an international Montessori school in Beijing, China. I have taught at all elementary levels, as well as working in administration and as Head of School. After moving back to Toronto, I helped start and run a Dual Language (English/Mandarin) school program for children ages 4-12.
As a parent of two children who went through Montessori, I had the opportunity to observe how Montessori transformed them into the confident, engaging and self-motivated young adults they are today.
Throughout my travels in North America, Europe and Asia, I have visited many schools along the way and am always struck by the impact Montessori has created in the lives of so many. I am delighted to be working with CGMS in the development and inspiration of a new generation of Montessorians.
