Rubi Medina Early Childhood Instructional Guide
Rubi’s passion in life has been to be part of the Montessori World for over 30 years. “I am dedicated to inspiring teachers to their full potential so that the next generation of children can also find their potential. Rubi received her Primary Montessori Certification in 1991 from the American Montessori Society. The next 25 years would prove to be rewarding and fulfilling as she saw many children internalize the joy of learning. “Enjoy the journey and captivate the moments as you will look back and know this is not only a profession it’s a vocation.”
She holds a Bachelor of General Studies and Master of Science in Sociology from the University of Texas Pan American. Rubi has led Early Childhood environments and mentored teachers during their certification process. In addition to her Montessori career, since 2015 Rubi has taught as an Adjunct Sociology Instructor for Austin Community College teaching face-to-face classes and also teaching on-line classes since 2008 for South Texas College in McAllen, Texas. Rubi is an Instructional On-line Guide, a Field Consultant, and a Practicum Advisor with CGMS.
Rubi moved to Austin, Texas in 2015 to be close to family and grandchildren. As before with her daughter in Montessori, she now sees the great strides her two grandchildren are making in a Montessori environment. “It is a joy that is very fulfilling.” She brings her strong Mexican American values to everyone she meets and shares her proud heritage. Rubi is bilingual in both English and Spanish. In her spare time, she enjoys scrap booking, photography and reading.
